Here's a pic of us visiting at Setapak. Our couzin's beautiful home, an old structure with a warm rustic charm. And managed to get the kids 'behaved' and post for the camera for once!..
And speaking of visiting, Hari Raya is about enjoying the glorious food laid out. From beef rendang, ketupat, peanut gravy [my favourite], sambal udang...keep your weighting machine at home folks, cause you may need it!
And Hari Raya too is about cam-whoring. Looking your best. This is the best time to splurge on your outfit, or filled up those bare writs with thick gold bracelet the size of the 'tali-kapal-layar'. While some would show off with their branded handbags or accessories.
The eve of Raya is usually the best part where kids are allowed to stay up late and play fireworks. And especially for us Singaporean, we're so used to only enjoying playing fireworks..the safest fireworks! It always great fun! Till 'somebody'...were too 'shiok' and burnt the whole box of fireworks sticks!..bahaha!!
But most of all, Hari Raya is about love..forgiveness..family values. This is the best time where families, relatives even close friends far and near will meet and gather. Seek forgiveness with one another, a valuable tradition uphold until now, taught and passed down from generations to generations. I often felt touched by this..Wishing you all a blessed Raya!
